Road markings on Astley Ave after the works

Sam from New Lynn

I'm wondering if anyone knows the best people to raise the issue of getting the road markings reinstated after all the water system upgrade work on Astley Ave. My dealings with Watercare and their contractors in the past really gives me the feeling they don't care. My impression of the health and safety these people have is that they don't think it is of importance for the people.
We now have people continually parking in dangerous areas that previously had yellow lines. This is blocking visibility and creating dangerous areas particularly down towards the rest home and roundabout. Council obviously doesn't give a crap about the safety of they would be monitoring the works. Been close to 8 Months now...

Paul Reporter from Stuff

Hi neighbours, soft plastic recycling bins are coming back.

The Love NZ Soft Plastic Recycling Scheme, which was suspended in 2018, has returned to Auckland and Hamilton and, as of October, will be back in Wellington too.

It can get confusing trying to keep track of what to recycle, what not to recycle, and what's just rubbish.

Here's what you can and can't put in soft plastic recycling bins.

Bob

Bob works behind the counter at West Liqour. HIs partner is C.E.O of a licensing Trust and earns a bit more than him.
Bob wants to be a "fatcat" on the living wage so he can pay his mortgage and bills and at least have something left over.
Now after being insulted, demeaned and under-valued, Bob and his 200plus co-workers now know who NOT to vote for at the upcoming Local Body Elections
