Should two scheduled magnolia trees get the chop?
Kia ora neighbours, yesterday we published a story about two protected 75-year-old magnolia trees that Cornwall Park Trust Board may chop down if it gets council consent. This is to enable them to open up the view of the Sir John Logan Campbell monument from Manukau Rd. A native garden of coprosma, fuchsia, hebes, lobelia and native geraniums will be planted along the edge instead.
Do you know the trees? Do you think they should be chopped down? Why or why?
Here's the story www.stuff.co.nz....
