Fundraising: $15 per hour for pet sitting or walking

Advaita from Mount Albert

Hi beautiful neighbours,

As a finalist for Miss World New Zealand 2020 I am delighted to do my best to fundraise for Brave which spreads awareness about sexual abuse and Safe Clicks that helps to promote safe online environment for children. Both the causes very close to my heart. I would love to offer pet sitting and walking for $15 per hour. Entire fees will go towards these charities and your support is highly appreciated!

P.S I hold a Bachelors in Applied Science : Animal Welfare and Management and have extensive experience working at Vet clinics and fostering pets.

PhD: walking and street environments

Tamara from Point Chevalier

Kia ora neighbours,

I am a transport planner doing research on walking and the street environments. Right now I am interviewing Aucklanders to better understand how they choose to walk (or not), what matters, and what might cause barriers.

I would like to interview people who experience difficulties seeing / hearing / walking or concentrating. Interviews take about 45 min, at a place and time that works for the interviewees, and I have $30 koha vouchers. The results will help make Auckland easier to get around.

If you are interested, get in touch, and don't hesitate to ask any question you might have!

Pharmacies running out of face masks

Melanie Earley Reporter from Central Leader

Hi neighbours, pharmacies across the country have been running out of face masks as fears about coronavirus reaching our shores continues. One worker at Life Pharmacy in Remuera, said the store had sold out of the masks three days ago and were unable to get anymore straight away.

Are you worried about the virus heading to New Zealand?
