Bee Swarms
Hello neighbours,
In Spring and early summer bee colonies are starting to swarm. It is their natural way of reproduction. At this stage they can look menacing, but in reality are quite docile.
If you see a bee swarm in your garden or neighbourhood, please do not ring pest control, call me and I will come to collect them. Iβm am a local beekeeper and used to work with bees. My promise is to find a good home amongst my beekeeper friends, not making a profit like lots of other sites are. Oh 022 198 5193
A big thank you in advance
Walter

A riddle to start the festive season π²ππ
I'm a fruit. If you take away my first letter, I'm a crime. If you take away my first two letters, I'm an animal. If you take away my first and last letter, I'm a form of music. What am I?

Poll: Should we be giving the green light to new mining projects? π°π²
The Environmental Protection Authority announced this week that a proposed mine in Central Otago (near Cromwell) is about to enter its fast-track assessment process. A final decision could come within six months, and if itβs approved, construction might start as early as mid-2026.
We want to know: Should mining projects like this move ahead?
