Can you benefit from record lows home loan interest rates?

Mike from Riverstone Financial Services

Hi Neighbours,

With mortgage interest rates at record lows (3.95% for 1 year fixed) I was reminded this week, while working with one of my neighbours on his mortgage, that a lot of people aren’t aware how much they can save by renegotiating their home loans. Even this client, who still had a year to go on his fixed interest home loan, was able to save quite a bit of money even after paying the break fees.

It’s certainly worth having a chat, for free of course, to quickly go over your mortgages and see if you can also take advantage of these record low rates.

I’m happy to talk to anyone, regardless of what stage your loan is it at, and see if you can benefit!

Ring me, Mike, on 021 619 699 or email me at mike@riverstone.kiwi

Auckland's long-haul bus terminal: should it stay or go?

Todd Niall Reporter from Auckland Stuff

Hi Neighbours, If Auckland Transport, and maybe SkyCity had their way, the long-haul bus terminal would be re-located by this year. Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei had no idea that their land was wanted. Does the terminal need a new downtown home? Read the story below:

What creative ways are you saving water?

Kendall Hutt Reporter from East & Bays Courier

Hi neighbours. Our water use is "skyrocketing" according to Watercare, breaking previous water records three times last week. The water company says if we continue to use more and more water on hot days, restrictions may be introduced. What creative ways are you trying to save water? Do you have a timer in your shower? Have you replaced your herbs with cacti so you don't have to water them? Let us know, we'd love to hear your stories.
