Sister of missing French teen desperate for answers

Caroline Williams Reporter from Auckland Stuff

Hi neighbours. It's been more than three weeks since 18-year-old French exchange student Eloi Jean Rolland disappeared.
He was last seen on CCTV at the Britomart Train Station early on March 7, where he caught a train to New Lynn. Phone data indicates he was in the Piha Rd area about 9.18am. This is where the trail stops.
Speaking from Paris, Rolland's sister Aurore told Stuff her family is desperate for an answer on his whereabouts.
"We have no insight. We are starting to lose hope to find him alive."
Police are keeping an "open mind" to what may have happened, but there is no information at this stage to suggest the matter is suspicious.
Anyone with information should phone Waitematā Police on 09 488 9764 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
