After the storm last night, the pied shag colony at the Panmure Basin, managed to hang on, but were hungry and desperate for food to feed their babies this morning.
There are several nests with babies needing to be fed to ensure their survival.
Due to poor water quality and over fishing in the Basin, the colony needs supplementary feeding, otherwise they will likely stop breeding and eventually die out.
The photos are from earlier this year and show some of the colony being fed in the evening.
