A woman thought she was going to die when a man headbutted her, then grabbed her by the throat and body slammed her after a party.
Andrew Drysdale Beck, 45, pleaded guilty in the Alexandra District Court to three charges, including assault and impeding breathing on a female in Alexandra on July 8 and assault on a police officer in Queenstown on July 8.
The case was stood down until September 26 for a nominal date for sentencing.
