Surrogate Grandparents is a New Zealand based Charitable Trust (CC54933) that works to connect families with older people - it may be that the grandparents don’t live nearby or for whatever reason families don’t have the amount of contact with their grandparents that they would like. The arrangement is incredibly beneficial - families gain loving support and older people feel a sense of purpose and belonging from the relationship.
