AMAHL & THE NIGHT VISITORS (Menotti) Saturday 8th December, 2pm and 7pm
. A semi-staged, costumed performance of this delightful tale of Amahl, his mother and their encounter with the Three Kings. Presented in the beautiful historical Saint Mark’s Church the performance features Krishna Peddinti as Amahl with June Dams (Mother), Michael Potts (King Kaspar), Campbell Ellison (King Melchior) and Tyran Talamaivao (King Balthazar) and a chorus conducted by Arthur Adams-Close, with piano accompaniment by Juan Kim. The evening will conclude with a flourish of favourite songs and carols, followed by light refreshments.

Enjoy a variety of well loved opera moments (and a few surprises) at our upcoming show on SATURDAY 24 February (4pm or 8pm show). The performance features a fantastic cast of twenty singers, performing short excerpts from opera to musicals. Opera Bites offers a unique opportunity to get a feed your soul. From Mozart, to Puccini and comedy to drama - there is something for everyone here!

Opera Factory will present a selection of comedic, scandalous and tragic short scenes from a variety of well-loved opera stories at the Auckland Fringe Festival on Saturday, 24 February.

“‘Opera Bites’ has been deliberately designed like a chocolate box selection, offering those new to opera a unique, affordable and accessible opportunity to get a taste of the assorted range within this type of theatre,” says Sloman. “The costumed performance includes some wonderful, light-hearted pieces to both delight and surprise the audience.”
