The Emergency Response Group prepares and maintains the Community Response Plan for the area. It covers the probable hazards and likely impacts of these; identifies key groups to mobilise in an emergency event; and evacuation centres.
In case of a major event, the members of the group would co-ordinate activity with Civil Defence and other Emergency Services.
We welcome new members, as it is a good way to extend our reach into different networks around the neighbourhood.
Generally meet just a few times each year, plus have opportunities to attend Radio Communications training, work on the CD Santa Parade float etc...
