It's school holiday time - a few tips to keep our streets safe

John Gibbs-Newton from Howick Botany Neighbourhood Support

With the holidays approaching here are a few things you can do to help reduce crime.

Lock your garden shed.

Lock your side gates to prohibit entry to your property when you are not home.

Keep an eye on the schools while the kids are away from school on holiday, as they become a target for burglars.

Report any suspicious activity that is happening to Police on 111. If it has happened or just a general concern ring 105.

Think about setting up a Neighbourhood Support Group for your street - see www.neighbourhoodsupport.co.nz... or ring our local chair on 0272712494

Lest we forget...

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

On this ANZAC Day, let's take a moment to remember and honor the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve our country.

Tell us who are you honouring today. Whether it's a story from the battlefield or a memory of a family member who fought in the war, we'd love you to share your stories below.
