Thanks a lot! Now I want to pay it forward ...

Jane from Levin

So today I rushed off to get petrol, filled the tank and then could not find the key to start the car. Turned out my handbag looked under the seats etc etc. Really! How did I get there if I didn't have the key? Technically it could have happened as my car often starts if the key is near enough, it also unlocks the doors without my doing anything. So technically, I could have started the car at home without having the key with me. Whatever, I was stuck at the petrol station but unable to start my car. I asked a gentleman if he would take me home to fetch my spare. Bless him, he really was a proper gentleman and he ran me home, no doubt out of his way. At home I still could not find my key, and it took a while for me to find the spare. Fortunately I had a friend by and she ran me back to my abandoned car. I hopped in and the car started with the spare key. Meantime it had begun to get dark and I took off my dark glasses to pop them in their case - and there in the case were the keys. Normally, that proximity would have started the car but I'm guessing the material of the hard case was enough to block the signal. So I had my keys all along but didn't find them in the glasses case. Do I feel stupid, pretty much! But, thanks to that kind soul who took me home, it all worked out, but it would have been a long walk home without my good Samaritan, who when I asked "can you take me home please" said "yes"! So I'm prepared to pay it forward, anyone needing help with something please ask me. I can write a letter, do a bit of gardening, mend clothing, take up a hem, fix a seam, look after a cat or a dog for a bit.... lots of things. Please just ask me. Jane 0220986738
