introduction

Steve from

Hi everyone,
Just wanted to introduce myself if you don't know me already. Having owned two Optometrist practices in Hastings and Havelock North called Eye Deal Opticians (now Specsavers Hastings) back in 2002 and not long after winning the Hastings Best Business Award, I decided on a change of career and location and moved to the Kapiti coast where I ran a small gardening business called Kapiti Garden Designs (after 25 years indoors, I needed sunshine and beach!) Then after 7 years of gardening and designing gardens I realised the body needed an easier job ( gardening could be like 40 hours at the gym) So a friend of mine said, "you'd be good at what I do, Real Estate," so I got qualified and licensed as a Real Estate Consultant, which is still very much comparative to a good Optician, if they're customer focused. So I moved back to the place I loved, Hawke's Bay and kept the gardening business going with a worker whilst I concentrated on Real Estate. I renamed the business to Hawke's Bay Gardens and cracked on with Real Estate working for Harcourts. I'd checked out a few other agencies on the way and didn't get the vibe.
I'm really enjoying it, it's challenging, but I get to speak to people, share some uk humour (sorry about that) and get to spend time outdoors...AND...I'm self employed, so in essence it's my own little business within Harcourts. OK I'm done with my essay. Looking forward to meeting you all and if you have any property questions I'm here to help you all the way.
