Gaming and Gambling harm - what is the connection?!

The Team from PGF Services - Christchurch

Kia ora Otautahi whanau. Today is day 3 of Gambling Harm Awareness Week and today we're sharing information on gaming. If you have young people in your life, you have probably seen the extent gaming plays in their world. While there are many benefits and skills involved in gaming, there are a few things to look out for and talk to gamers about to keep it fun and not harmful. We have specific information about Lootboxes, one of the more concerning aspects.
We do have a bit of flexibility to offer support to people who are affected by gaming harm, so if you feel like you need some extra education and support, give us a call. (Remember all of our services are free, confidential and person centred and available in a range of locations - including online).

Many public rubbish bins are being removed by councils due to the large costs of regularly emptying them. Do you think we can adapt and live without them?

Type 'Not For Print' if you wish your comments to be excluded from the We Say You Say column of your local paper.
