Police seek vehicle after grandfather-of-12 dies in hit-and-run
Auckland police are appealing for information on a car involved in a fatal hit-and-run in south Auckland.
The “white or light” coloured Honda Stream hit 79-year-old Jalil Mousses at speed as he was crossing Manurewa’s Russell Rd towards his parked car on Friday, June 26.
The driver allegedly fled the scene and Mousses, a father of five and grandfather of 12, later died at Middlemore Hospital.
He urged anyone who knows the vehicle’s owner or who has seen a Honda Stream with front panel damage to contact police.
