My Kind Neighbour nomination

Jason from Bellevue

I think I have the nicest and most quiet neighbour. I came from a neighbourhood where there's always a party, but this time, everything has changed. I now have a peaceful neighbourhood and the house next to ours is very quiet that I sometimes think they're nice. I haven't seen them yet that's why I couldn't say much but they haven't made any sounds since I moved in, and I think they are eco-friendly because they don't use electricity even at night! I love people who are trying to save our environment. My girlfriend told me that maybe no one lives there, but I told her that I saw a 30ish old lady on the window one morning staring at me, she's wearing a beautiful white dress with a silver necklace on her while holding a candle on daylight. I smiled and she smiled, I think, maybe she's a bit shy but we're lucky that her house doesn't make much noise. The only problem is she will need to hire a lawn guy because her garden looks like hasn't been mowed for years.

Good Warm Home Loan ANZBank

Anna from Mount Maunganui

Just advising that anyone who is renovating should apply first this loan - even if they don’t need it. With the escalating costs AND hidden problems that you may come across you can go well over your budget and find this 1% interest loan useful. It is for 3 years and specifically targets items like double glazing

You don’t see this Ioan on the front page of there website and have to read carefully terms ad conditions.

If anyone has had success in getting their loan halfway through their renovation I would love to hear from you

Unelected commissioners recommend they stay in power

Pat from Welcome Bay

Interesting responses to my post. Two in particular piqued my interest. Suzanne Williams and her comments about whinging about everything-Suzanne it is not about whinging. It is more about raising concerns about an undemocratic regime forced on us and then seeing the commissioners wanting to keep their sinecure. Greg Reardon "I vote to keep the commissioners"-Greg the point is that you do not have a vote. Look I get it-democracy is imperfect. Some of our previously elected councillors were rubbish-ego driven and feeding from the trough (not unlike our commissioners). But it is what we have got. It is better to have an imperfect democracy than an unelected and unaccountable cartel of commissioners who say "we know what is good for you".
