I nominate Bay Roskill Sports Club.
It is said that within the first seven seconds people will have a solid impression of who you are?
First impressions have the ability to make or break an organisation and a positive experience can create long lasting relationships.
In 1963 land was purchased to build the existing clubrooms. Our club exists through the efforts of those who have gone before us and whose families continue to strive in their honour and in some cases their memory.
We host successful children and adult Tag competitions during the summer and our primary sport of Rugby League during the winter. In 2020 we look forward to growing our playing numbers, developing and nurturing our talent and building on the success of previous years.
We have also hosted Auckland Rugby League Competition launches, NZ Warriors Wellness Programmes, Weddings, Birthdays, Memorial Services, Teachers Conferences, Church and Karate groups to name a few.
A project team is working through an upgrade of our facility and we are currently seeking grants and assistance to progress these works.
We are fortunate to be supported by a committee of volunteers passionate about our club.
And the opportunity to brighten and refresh the exterior road facing main entrance side of our community sports club would not only make our building more attractive, the transformation would be beneficial to our members, visitors, and neighbours.
Some of our members are painters who I am sure use Resene paints in their professional roles and whom may be willing to assist us should we be successful.
