My Kind Neighbour nomination
When we moved into our house we were greeted with a cheer from neighbours Dave and Marie. Instantly their happy vibe was infectious. We would hear our daughter talking to them over the fence which quickly resulted in her going over and hanging out with them. One day she went to the Hilton for a swim with their daughter and granddaughter which she thought was pretty cool. Marie and Tui have a special bag that they fill with treats, notes and little knick-knacks.
One day Tui came home saying she was going to the park with Dave and the go-kart. She was pretty chuffed with that.
Dave and Marie work shift work but never complain when my husband plays drums or guitar but instead encourage it.
We are blessed to have such amazing neighbours who make us feel like we belong here. So Dave and Marie...thank you so much for all you do. You rock!
Turn downsizing stress into strength
Downsizing can open the door to a new stage of your life that is rich in opportunity. However, it can be a daunting prospect. If you are embarking on a new chapter of life, the thought of shedding familiar possessions can feel even more stressful. This can be true even if the life changes are a good thing, such as a move to somewhere you will love to live.
Once you understand why you have this feeling, you can reframe it as creating a new environment that will support your present life while reminding you of your best experiences.
