Car windscreen smashed last night
Hi everyone,
Just posting this so that people in the area are aware and can be more vigilant.
Last night, someone tried to break my mum's partner's car windscreen. Why the windscreen and not the drivers door window, I wouldn't have a clue. The thing is, I think I actually heard them trying to do this around 9.30pm - 10pm as I was downstairs at the time. I thought maybe a door had slammed or something had dropped upstairs. I even went to check in the garden and around the side of the house by turning all the lights on. I didn't think that anyone would be dumb enough to try something before 10pm out the front of the house.
I imagine that the security lights might have gone on, they may have seen the light on the side of the house go on, or due to the screen not shattering all the way, they just gave up.
See the picture below for damage. The only thing in the car were some knock-off Raybans. For reference, I live on the mountain side of Stonefields in Tauoma Crescent (neighbours across from me back onto the factories on Homestead Drive).
Lest we forget...
On this ANZAC Day, let's take a moment to remember and honor the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve our country.
Tell us who are you honouring today. Whether it's a story from the battlefield or a memory of a family member who fought in the war, we'd love you to share your stories below.
Poll: Does the building consent process need to change?
We definitely need homes that are fit to live in but there are often frustrations when it comes to getting consent to modify your own home.
