In Johnsonville a house was broken into via a smashed lounge window at the side of the house. The victim returned home from work to find the hallway and bedroom floors littered with clothes that had been emptied out from drawers and suitcases. A substantial amount of high value items were stolen including foreign currency and an overseas passport and driver’s licence, a laptop computer, two watches, collectable coins, Bose headphones, a camera, and spare house and car keys. A red Volkswagen Golf hatchback parked overnight had both front and rear registration plates stolen. A silver Suzuki Swift hatchback parked overnight had its left rear wheel and rim stolen. A blue Nissan Bluebird stationwagon parked overnight had a rear registration plate stolen. A white Holden Commodore saloon parked during the night was entered through a forced window. The negative lead from the battery was disconnected to avoid activating the alarm. A bag containing clothing and cash was stolen. A silver Honda Fit hatchback parked during the early evening in the Johnsonville Mall carpark was entered through the driver’s door, possibly insecure. A bag containing medicines and baby items was stolen. The basement of a flat was broken into by cutting through the securing lock. A bicycle, tools from the work bench and a tool box were stolen. A house was entered during the night, possibly through an unlocked front door. A handbag containing cash, a driver’s licence, a mobility card and two bank cards was stolen. A silver Mazda Demio hatchback parked overnight was stolen.

In Newlands a white Hyundai light van, parked in the driveway of a house had two right side windows smashed. No entry gained. A rental property, currently vacant and under renovation, was broken into via a rear laundry window possibly left insecure. Two electric sanding machines were stolen. Entry into a vacant house was gained through a hole made in the wall leading into the master bedroom. The house is empty but a framed photo was taken from a wall. A gold Ford LTD saloon parked overnight had its right rear window smashed, no entry gained. A white Toyota Corolla saloon parked overnight had its right rear window smashed to gain entry. Work related documents were stolen. A blue Mazda Axela stationwagon parked overnight was broken into via a smashed left rear window. A bag containing glasses, phone chargers and a work phone was stolen.

In Khandallah a house, at present unoccupied during renovations, was entered through a jemmied window alongside the front door. There is no report of anything being stolen. A house was broken into during the day via a smashed window. A messy search was made in the victim’s bedroom. A laptop computer and a substantial amount of jewellery were stolen.

In Ngaio a white Mitsubishi light van parked overnight was broken into and access gained through a smashed window. Power and hand tools were stolen. A Mazda Premacy vehicle parked overnight had its rear registration plate stolen.

In Karori a black Honda Odyssey stationwagon parked overnight unlocked on private property was entered. A small amount of cash and a bank card were stolen. A red Toyota Yaris hatchback was reported stolen. The garden shed of a house was entered. The owner accidentally left the key in the lock. A mountain bike, a set woman’s golf clubs and rain wear were stolen. The shed at the back of a house in, left unlocked, was entered and a battery charger and some drill bits were stolen. A Play Centre was entered during the night and black paint graffiti applied to the side of the building. The locked underside storage area of a house was entered after the securing lock was cut through. A drop saw was stolen. The front and rear registration plates were stolen from a silver Mazda Demio hatchback that had been parked overnight. A silver Mazda Demio hatchback parked overnight had its front and rear registration plates stolen. A white Isuzu Elf flat bed truck parked from midday to early afternoon had a power hedge trimmer and petrol can stolen from the back of the truck.
