New Tennis Court Lights

Jeff from Churton Park

Churton Park Tennis club provides a community service using tennis as a way to reach local community giving tennis a go and providing a form of exercise which is fun. The club started a program last year in term 4 where as the club offered free adult beginners lesson's and still does today. The objective is Adults can learn to play confidently with each other and also play with there children whom are taking lesson's as well. So they can practice as families and improve their playing ability together. To play with other adults and become club members.
The club provides a coaching to teach adults so they can enjoy to play the wonderful game. The Adult beginners runs on thursday nights at 7pm after the junior coaching tennis program. The club is used at nights under flood lights but a couple of our pole flood lights are blown but thse two lights blow on a regular basis because the control gear is faulty and lamps may only last a few months, whereas they should last years because just for the lamps themselves cost just under $500 ea.
The club would like to upgrade these two fittings with New LED light fittings which will cost around $1500 ea installed. This will be the path forward as other lights fizzle out, to replace with LED floods.
Our club would really appreciate to have full illumination by all light fittings operating and better lighting for night playing.
Thankyou for the opportunity to aplply for funding.
Jeff reid
Club President.
