ENJOYING TIME IN THE GARDEN WITH CHILDREN
With the beautiful Auckland weather we are naturally drawn to the outdoors. A wonderful way to spend time outdoors is caring for and exploring in a garden. At Little Treehouse Kindergarten our children are involved in all aspects of our garden from planting new seedlings, watering and caring for our plants, watching them grow, comparing sizes, shapes, colours and delighting in all the insects that are drawn to our garden spaces. With the new year we planted some new plants and vegetables and with the loving care shown by our children our crops are growing well and the children will soon have cucumbers, lettuce and spinach ready to eat with tomatoes, capsicum, watermelon and rockmelon following behind shortly (hopefully). The children are excited about sampling these fruits and vegetables soon!
