Art classes beginning from the 4th February
Hi everyone, I hope you have all enjoyed your summer break.
A new year is beginning again, lets hope it is a good one!
Our term 1 art classes will be starting from the 4th of Feb for 8 weeks. Students between the age of 9 through to adults can join me in learning to draw, paint or sculpt or use mixed media.
I follow you, the student, in what you want to do, working at your own pace, starting from your own level of ability and on your own themes.
If you are into cartoons, anime, illustration, portraiture, landscape painting, clay work, polymer clay work, character development, perspective, spray painting, whatever you want to try, we can give it a go.
I also give advice to College students for their art board work and help with gathering artwork for Uni portfolios. (You will need to start early, Art takes time and thought!)
And brand new this year I will be offering 'Home art Tuition' if you live within a 15 minute drive of Howick Village, I will come to you.

Free Furoshiki workshop 13yr+
Join us at Highland Park Library Saturday 4 May to make Furoshiki - a traditional Japanese wrapping cloth that is used to carry and transport items. It can be folded and tied in different ways to create a reusable and eco-friendly alternative to disposable bags. Furoshiki can be used to wrap gifts, groceries, and other items, and its versatility makes it a popular choice for those looking to reduce waste and be more environmentally conscious.

Turn downsizing stress into strength
Downsizing can open the door to a new stage of your life that is rich in opportunity. However, it can be a daunting prospect. If you are embarking on a new chapter of life, the thought of shedding familiar possessions can feel even more stressful. This can be true even if the life changes are a good thing, such as a move to somewhere you will love to live.
Once you understand why you have this feeling, you can reframe it as creating a new environment that will support your present life while reminding you of your best experiences.
