Parking on Berms!
Hi everyone,
Just sharing a bit of information which I have just found out. It is ok to park on the berm as long as visibility is not compromised (eg. Can see oncoming traffic if leaving your driveway).
Very frustrating if you have rubbish/recycling bin collection, as the trucks would have issues with accessing the bins, not all truck drivers are willing to get out and move them, and that’s understandable.
This is if there are cars also parked out on the road as well as the berm.
So council no longer do infringements for this type of parking. However. If it is blocking a driveway, a tow truck is sent out straight away to remove the vehicle.
Apparently it was changed only a few months ago. So quite recent.

We definitely need homes that are fit to live in but there are often frustrations when it comes to getting consent to modify your own home.
