AMI Grants
Maungatere is always looking for ways to make our students lives more productive, through offering an alternative way of delivering education to the at risk youth of our community.Mainstream schooling isn't for everyone and often our smaller setting fulfills the needs due to our one on one tutoring, finding real life scenarios to demonstrate why we need an education, and delivering components of our program in a hands on manner.one particular component of our program is adventure education we join with providers such as the Waipara adventure centre. Many of our students are from a low income home therefore can't afford any of the related cost. This makes it very difficult to do the things we know are so beneficial for our students. We are hoping that we can be a recipient so it will enable us to deliver a program that helps our students survive in the real world.
