We hope you've had a great term at Playgroup!
Playgroup has a wonderful group of volunteers who sit on the Playgroup Committee and work so hard to make Playgroup possible. However, most of the Committee have almost-5-year-olds and are ready to move on to the world of school.
To keep Playgroup viable, we need new volunteers to join the Committee and in particular, to take on key roles that the organisation needs to continue to run:
- President
- Treasurer
- Secretary
- Friday key contact (who opens/closes each week)
Without these roles being filled, Playgroup will no longer be able to operate and the most likely outcome is that we’ll be forced to close at the end of the year, which will be immensely sad as we’ve been a huge part of the local community for almost ten years.
Our next AGM is in November, when ideally we’ll be able to appoint new officers into the positions above. So, PLEASE GET IN TOUCH IF YOU CAN HELP.
If you want to chat to any of the current officers about their roles and what they involve, please get in touch via email and we can arrange a chat wadestownplaygroup@gmail.com. Most roles can be made your own, and don’t take up more than ~5-10 hours per term.
Please help us to continue offering the chance for parents/caregivers to relax and connect, while our tamariki have fun in a great space!
