Massage

Massage treatments have far wider reaching benefits than simply being relaxing. They can help soothe and calm your body and spirit in times of stress. They can help rebalance your emotions and reset your nervous system. Massage is a great form of self-care! (Try our 2 hour massage – it’s heavenly).

Using Chinese Medicine theory, massage is really great for when you’re running too cold and your blood isn’t moving as it should be – Massage really helps to get it going, and brings about a lot of peace!

Acupuncture

Acupuncture treatments have far wider reaching benefits than simply being soothing or relaxing; Yes that’s right – acupuncture is soothing and relaxing – not always a widely known fact!

Acupuncture is also more affordable, as it’s much easier and simple to deliver for your therapist. Acupuncture can help treat many medical issues. The ACC system in New Zealand means that most people are familiar with Acupunctures incredible ability to reduce pain, swelling and inflammation. When I lived and worked in Australia where there is only Private Health Insurance and no ACC, I found it was an incredibly popular form of treatment, especially for mental health and stress issues.

Acupuncture is a very effective treatment for muscle and nerve pain, but is perhaps less well known in New Zealand for the medicinal benefits it also offers. For example, relief from chronic headaches, which can be eased quickly.

Chinese Herbal Medicine

Chinese Herbal Medicine is often referred to as “internal medicine”. Its goes under the Umbrella of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) which has Chinese Herbs AND Acupuncture. Not all therapists finish the 4th year of Herbs, but the added diagnostic training and the actual herbs themselves are incredibly beneficial. They work by changing internal imbalances caused by too much cold or heat, to much dampness (ie fat is one way of considering this concept), age, loss of vitality and also from the depth of disease such as when it affects our organs, not just the superficial areas like when we have muscle, bone, tendon, and facial issues, (but CAN also help with muscle and ligament tears, wound healing, recovery from disease, also from ongoing distress, and much more. It’s a wonderful fast and effective way to feel so much better.

Using Chinese Medicine theory, herbal medicine is really great to get your blood moving, when it isn’t (stationary job, aging, post accident, postpartum birth.

Pamper Package or Facial

Facials are a lovely way to have a less invasive treatment (you don’t need to remove as much clothing). Its such a nice gift for someone else, and of course helps with your skin, your confidence and your mood!

Pamper Packages are a great thing to do 2-3 x a year. The longer treatment of 90 mins to 2-hours is wonderful, it really helps with stress, insomnia, fatigue, and just when your feeling icky, tired, stressed, underappreciated and if you’re a new mum and not getting great sleep! A wonderful relaxation massage with moderate pressure (and a bit firmer in parts for the tight spots, the neck, shoulders, lower back, arms) is the perfect combination.

Pamper Packages can have a few acupuncture needles for a depth of pain reduction or to help medically. If you’re not lactating as you want as a new mum, if you have been doing hours and hours in the office on a project, this type of treatment helps you to revive!
