Devonport-Takapuna Local Board

Office hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am-5pm
Venue: Board Room, Ground Floor, 1 The Strand, Takapuna

The local board office is open for public meetings, or for pre-arranged meetings with elected members, staff & planners. Unless there is a public meeting underway the front door is generally locked and only accessible with a swipe card.

Public functions are done at the service desk which is now in the library.

devonporttakapunalocalboard@aucklandcouncil.govt.nz.

Waste Minimisation


Have you got thoughts and ideas on how we could support our community in the zero-waste arena? We would love to hear from you.
The Devonport Peninsula Trust is very interested in zero-waste/waste minimisation and we would love to work alongside members of our community who are active in this area.
Please email nigelbioletti@devonportpeninsulatrust.nz to get the ball rolling.

Sandy Sunday Whānau Fun
 

When: Sunday 26th March 2:30pm - 4:30pm
Where: Narrow Neck Beach 
Cost: Free

Let's make the most of Raumati and get out and enjoy one of our beautiful local beaches.

Get the kids designing, and work as a family or team to bring it to life! 
Use the natural resources around to make a creative masterpiece. 
Prizes awarded for creativity!

BYO spades and tools.
Free sausage sizzle provided.

Raumati Fun Tamariki Play
 

When: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 9:30am - 11:30am.
Where: Devonport & Belmont
Cost: Free

Tamariki Play is a wonderful opportunity for your little ones (0-5) to play with big toys, be active and make new friends.

So grab a coffee and enjoy our beautiful local parks this Summer!

Rotary Kids Athletics Series
 

When: Tuesdays, 4pm - 6pm, From 21st February - 21st March
Where: Vauxhall Sports Reserve (North Shore Rugby Club Grounds)
Cost: Free

Rotary Kids Athletics is a 6 week non-competitive style athletics programme where young people (primary and intermediate age) have the opportunity to try a variety of athletics activities in a relaxed environment.

Activities include running races, long jump, high jump, agility games and ball skills.  The programme starts on Tuesday 14th Feb and runs every Tuesday concluding on the 21st March.
Attendance is free and casual so there is no need to book in advance.  Participants should arrive at the event venue just before 4pm, to allow time for registration, which is done on site by the bleachers each session.
Sessions finish at 6pm and there is a sausage sizzle and drinks for sale on site.
The sessions are weather dependent, and make sure to bring water and sun hats!

Caregiver supervision is required.

DPS Fair On The Hill 2023
 

When: Saturday 18th March, 12pm - 6pm
Where: Devonport Primary School
Cost: Free
Fair On The Hill is a highlight of the year for so many, head along this Saturday for a fun-filled day for the whole whānau.
Includes fair rides, candy floss, home made baking, plant stalls, book stalls, facepainting performances from the DPS Kapa haka group, tamariki and local talent.
