Morning buses to run straight to hospital

Direct weekday morning bus services between the New Plymouth CBD and Taranaki Base Hospital will be introduced under timetable and route changes for Citylink Route 3 from Monday 17 May.

Route 3 buses from Ariki St between 7am and 9.30am will travel via Devon St, Morley St, Tukapa St and David St to Base Hospital, stopping at both the maternity entrance and the main entrance.

It will then turn around and go back along David St and Tukapa St, turning left into Cutfield Rd then left into Devon St to continue its run through Lynmouth and on to Marfell, returning to the CBD via Tukapa St.

Services from 10.40am onwards will travel via the existing route through Lynmouth and Marfell, stopping at Base Hospital on its run back to the CBD.

Route 3 has been undergoing changes as a result of the closure of the Lorna St entrance to Base Hospital while stage 2 of its redevelopment project takes place.
