Why the Entrust election is important?

Voting in this year's Entrust Election is one of the most important pieces of climate action you can take. Through Entrust, the people of Auckland own 75.1% of Vector, the company that provides our electricity and has the ability to lead our transition to a clean, green and electrified future.

But unfortunately, the current set of Entrust trustees have been holding Vector back. We need new faces and a fresh approach that will prioritise protecting our planet to ensure we leave a safer and greener world for future generations.

How can I vote?

Entrust has five elected trustees. All of the Trustees are electricity customers who live inside the Entrust District. Trustee elections happen every three years and voting opens on 14 October 2021 and closes on 29 October 2021.

Every voter will receive a postal vote in their letterbox. All you need to do is fill it out and return it before Tuesday 26th October in order for it to be counted by the 29th of October. To return your letter you can find your nearest post office here.

Who can you vote for?

The Green Party are supporting the More for You, Better for Climate ticket. They’re a group of committed climate activists working to make Vector meet our climate goals and increase the dividend it gives to people like you. You can find out more about them here or contact them below.

What if I am having trouble voting?

This election is facilitated by Electionz. The Returning Officer for the election will be Warwick Lampp of Electionz. Any queries can be directed to Electionz on 0800 666 030 or [email protected]
