Our mission is building better communities:
We aim to provide women with the support and the tools they need to gain employment and financial independence so they can provide for their families and make a positive contribution.
Our Vision is every woman succeeding:
All women have an equal opportunity to gain employment, be strong role models and contribute to thriving communities.
Each client receives:
- a wrap-around service so she feels confident and prepared for her job interview
- a one-on-one consultation with a trained volunteer stylist providing a complete interview outfit, make-up, jewellery, styling and valuable confidence-boosting and job ready tips
- access to programmes and resources that will enhance her job-seeking activities and opportunities via our Career Centre Going Places programme – contact our Career Centre Manager on careers@dfsa.org.nz.
Each client who secures a job is eligible for:
- a second dressing providing 3-5 mix and match outfits to cover a working week
- long-term career support, mentoring and workshops to ensure she stays in the workforce via our Career Centre PWG programme – contact our Career Centre Manager on careers@dfsa.org.nz.
