Palmerston North police are on the lookout after four women reported being assaulted in separate attacks this month.

The slew of assaults began on May 1 near John F Kennedy Drive when a woman out on a stroll was attacked from behind by a man who then fled.

Over the next 12 days, three more women have come forward and said they had been out walking or running when an unknown man crept up behind them and attacked them.

None of the women were injured but all have been shocked by the incidents.
