A short introduction to fermentation for gut health, improved nutrient assimilation, food preservation and security, and awesome flavors! Learn the basic principles of vegetable and fruit fermentation of anything in abundance from the home garden.

Tes and Shaked will bring a diversity of vegetables and fruits collected from Riverside Community organic gardens. During the workshop you will have the opportunity to taste some better and worse examples of successful (and less) fermented foods, try them in their different stages of fermentation, as well as experiment with the fermentation process. Feel free to bring your own vegetables and fruits, as well as your favorite herbs and spices.

Tes and Shaked are traveling from Northern Hawkes Bay where they have lived the past 7 years, as members of Kotare Village, a self-reliant Eco-Village based on permaculture principles.

This workshop is proudly sponsored by Riverside Community Trust Board
