Help Us Build Another Barn Cat Run!

$1,715 of $2,600 goal
Given by 36 generous donors in 8 weeks

We currently have two runs but desperately need to expand, we need your help to continue helping the cats.

Canterbury

At Cat Rescue our aim is to consistently endeavor to help every cat we come in contact with. Our main focus is TNR (Trap, neuter, release) and socialising and rehoming the kittens from these colonies.

However in some situations it is not suitable or in the cats best interest to be returned to where it came from and be part of our TNR program, they then need to be found barn homes. A barn home is an outdoor home where unsocial cats are free to live their own way but have someone to watch out for them, providing food and water and in return can often help keep rodent numbers down.

Finding Barn homes is not an easy task, it can take many months and in this time they need to stay on site which is why we need runs that allow them to retain their five freedoms.

About us

Our main activities are desexing stray cats and rescuing, socialising and rehoming kittens. We also advocate the importance of desexing to the general public and promote the early desexing of cats and kittens before adoption.

Use of funds

The donations raised will go towards the materials and labor for construction.
