Did you know hearing loss can lead to other health issues such as social isolation, depression and feeling disconnected from the world?

We believe in helping people who experience hearing loss by providing access to support and services that help them to hear well and keep them connected to the world around them.

Part of our services include visiting residents with hearing aids in rest homes around the Horowhenua area, and may no longer have the ability to make the journey outside of their environment.

Some of these people don't always have family members living in the immediate area who can help care for their hearing aids.

Do you have a family member who lives in one of these rest homes? If so, then this is where we can step in to help...

What we do is maintain their hearing aids by providing an ongoing professional cleaning service along with 'trouble shooting', and perform any minor repairs needed to ensure their aids are working efficiently. This also helps to prolong the life of their aids.

Because we are not a Government funded organisation we have to apply for our funding from other providers and each year this has become more difficult to obtain as the 'pot' is getting much smaller.

So we have to think outside of the box to try and raise awareness of how vital it is to continue with our services for those who need them - and this could be a member of your family.
