Located in a tranquil, rural setting close to the Abel Tasman National Park and the township of Motueka, Riverside is the home of NZ's oldest intentional community, founded by Christian Pacifists in 1941. Additionally, Riverside is also the birthplace of Riverside Community Trust, a charitable trust founded in 1953 by early community members to promote religion, advance education and to support vulnerable groups within NZ society.


Riverside Community Trust offers affordable workshops and learning opportunities for children and adults with an emphasis on teaching crafts, agricultural and horticultural skills all through the year. The Community is a place where individuals have come together for Cooperative Living for Peace and Sustainability.


We are currently looking for an experienced Administration/Payroll Coordinator superstar to join the Team.

This position is based in beautiful Lower Moutere with 30 flexible hours per week (increased hours may be required over the peak summer season and at the beginning of employment).



The Role

You’ll be an integral part of the Team, coordinating day-to-day administration, customer service, payroll, accounts, Trustee reporting, greeting and directing visitors, and providing organisational strength in coordination of our local milk, utilities, and tenancy services.



Duties

On a day-to-day basis, you'll be kept busy managing a whole host of administrative functions including:

  • Office coordination.

  • Payroll/wages coordination.

  • Accounts coordination.

  • Local milk & tenancy coordination.

  • Trust reporting.

  • Utilities management.


About You

  • Strong knowledge of XERO.

  • Impeccable verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong multi-tasking ability.

  • Have attention to detail and highly organised.

  • Systems and computer savvy.

  • Team player with good customer service skills.

  • Friendly demeanour.

  • Residing within a daily commute of Lower Moutere.

Your Skills and Experience

  • Experience in Xero Accounting, Payroll, and Microsoft Office is preferred.

  • 2+ years' experience working in an office setting.

  • Experience and success in training and development of other staff.
