Hōtoke/Winter Fun Preschool Play
 

When: Every Tuesday starting 1st June, 9:30am - 11am 

Where: The Rose Centre/Te Whare Rose, School Road, Belmont
Cost: Free

Preschool Play is BACK for Winter!
A wonderful opportunity for your tamariki to play with big toys, be active and make new friends!
Every Tuesday morning, including the school holidays.  
These FREE, casual attendance sessions are the perfect way to keep little ones active and socialised during the colder, wetter months, as well as being a great opportunity for parents to have a hot drink and chat. 
Caregiver supervision is required, and the usual precautions are being taken at Covid-19 Alert Level 1.

Queens Birthday Devonport Market

Now that winter has arrived, Devonport Market moves inside to the iconic Devonport Ferry Terminal.

Taking place on Saturday 5th June, Queen’s Birthday Weekend, Devonport Market’s creators and makers are excited to meet you in the warmth inside the ferry terminal with new stallholders to introduce their new products and show off their wonderful creations.

Colouring Competition at the Devonport Library

 
When: Entries close Wednesday 9th June

This amazing Mural is coming to Devonport Wharf. To celebrate, the Devonport Business Association & Devonport Library are giving children a chance to win a copy of the new book by the artist & author Trina Wirihana. Open to all school aged children.

Intergenerational Meet Ups
 

When: Mondays, 3:30pm - 5:30pm, Fortnightly (Next meeting 14th June)
Where: Devonport
Cost: Free

Intergenerational Meet-Up sessions are a fun, informal opportunity for young and young at heart to share skills, and develop communication and understanding between the different generations.  
Sessions so far have included baking, knitting, IT/device trouble shooting and more. New ideas for skill sharing activities are welcome.  Attendance is free/casual.

With wonderful Kapa Haka performances, games, inflatables and a market amongst lots of other exciting entertainment.

Join Auckland Emergency Management as we take you through a scenario exercise of a storm hitting Devonport Takapuna.
This is an interactive desktop exercise that will enable you to test your own emergency preparedness and if you are able to reach out and support and help others who may be less able to cope during any emergency.

Retrospection: 100 Years of Devonport

Come and visit Devonport Library in June to view "Retrospection: 100 Years of Devonport" - an Auckland Festival of Photography exhibition.

Sampford Cathie’s Retrospection captures the village’s transformation across the past 100 years.
Embedding his contemporaneous photographs within historical images drawn from the Auckland Libraries heritage collections, Cathie’s composed photographs capture the effects of cumulative change and the magic of buildings and streetscapes when they withstand the test of time.

They Were Young Once – Auckland Festival of Photography Satellite Exhibition

They Were Young Once is representative of the depth and emerging scope of photography in Aotearoa and brings together the works of NZ photographers, both iconic and emerging in recognition of the creative journey and its origins.

Linda Jarrett - Composition/Decomposition

This series examines the metamorphosis of the banal to the extraordinary by an experimental process of decaying Polaroid photographs.

The Torpedo Bay Navy Museum offers fantastic guided tours with knowledgeable and friendly Guide Hosts.
