Kia ora koutou,

We hope you are all enjoying the extra freedoms brought by Step 1 of the Roadmap for Auckland out of Covid-19 alert level 3 lockdown.

While we are still unsure when we might return to alert level 2, we will continue collecting happenings and information for the month of November to share with our community.

If you have any community-related events, projects or info for the month of November that you would like to share, please complete our form online or send us an email here.

Please keep us informed of any changes to your events, e.g. if they are moving to be online, or postponed to a later date.
We are happy to share any postponement or cancellation notices, too.

Ngā mihi,
The Devonport Peninsula Trust rōpū/team.

· It’s really important that anyone awaiting a test result or who is a close contact should be self-isolating and not leaving the house for any reason.
· If you have symptoms of Covid-19 or a cold or flu, stay home and call Healthline on 0800 611 116
· Whānau and their tamariki are encouraged to get tested as COVID-19 positive cases in children are occurring.

Covid-19 Lockdown Support

There are a number of volunteers in the Devonport Peninsula community who are willing to help with grocery shopping or pharmacy pick ups, if you are unable to get out or feel uncomfortable doing so.

If you would like this kind of support, please contact one of the following people who will link you with a volunteer:

Bayswater Halloween Trail Colouring Competition

While we were disappointed to have to postpone the Bayswater Halloween Trail until Friday 1st April 2022, we wanted to provide some fun and entertainment to our local tamariki in the meantime!

Colour or decorate one of our four spooky designs (find them here), then display it in your window or somewhere else that is visible from the street, like your fence. Take a photo of your beautiful work and send it in to us via email: devonportcommunity@gmail.com or Facebook for a chance to win a prize!
You can download all four designs here, or if you don't have a printer at home, there are hard copies available from the Devonport Community House and The Rose Centre.
The winner will be chosen at random and announced on Facebook on 1st November.
Make sure to go for a hīkoi on 31st of October to spot the Halloween colouring in around your neighbourhood!

Lastly, follow the Bayswater Halloween Trail event on Facebook for updates, and don't forget to buy your Halloween costumes now while they are available in shops!

Hōtoke/Winter Preschool Play Community Feedback Survey

While we have been missing catching up with you all each week at our Hōtoke Preschool Play sessions at The Rose Centre, we have been pondering how we can support you and your precious tamariki best and especially at times when we are unable to come together as a community. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

If you could carve out a couple of minutes to complete this survey here, to help guide us to serve your needs as best as we can with the resources we have!

Thank you!
The DPT rōpū.

Devonport Seed Library

Devonport Seed Library is a free community initiative with the goal of enabling every person the opportunity to start a garden, without any financial barriers that might otherwise hinder them on their gardening journey.

The Seed Library will be housed in the Devonport Community House, and you are welcome to take what you need, then save some seeds from your own garden (or seed stash) to return back to the community.

If you have seeds, gardening books or ideas that you would like to share, they are gladly accepting donations.

You can contact Holly on 0211276841 or follow along on Facebook.
