For over 4 months I was unable to see my son as he was in lockdown in Auckland. And I am one of many families who did it tough so that we could open up again with a feeling that we had done the hard work to keep Covid in check as much as is possible. Then an entitled, overprivileged DJ comes to New Zealand, breaks the rules because he wanted to go out partying and puts all that work at risk. Because of him, Omicron is now possibly in New Zealand, a lot earlier than it should be.

Our children are not yet vaccinated, we have not yet been able to roll out the booster shots as yet. And all the hard work could go down the drain because he felt he was above the rules New Zealand has set to keep us, its citizens, safe.

DJ DImension should be charged, convicted, fined or locked up and then immediately departed. He should also have to pay for any costs he has incurred to the NZ community by his selfish decision to go out into the community before receiving his negative test.

Unless we start punishing the rule-breakers they will keep doing whatever they like with no fear of consequences. Make an example of him so others won't follow.
