A business in the personal development field unlike many is incredibly resilient. Centuries gone by reveal rare individuals who became aware of their minds from an observer perspective and consequently began learning how to take control of it giving them almost super-human abilities. Leonardo da Vinci comes to mind (ha!). We all have minds but few of us are aware of what a powerful tool it is let alone how to use it. I believe this is the next big phase of human development where more and more people engage in personal development for the undeniable benefits that affords.
Essentially my business pays me to learn and grow and bring this knowledge to as many newcomers as possible! Every day I'm excited to be in this business and so grateful for the global community and company founders for changing my life in the best possible way. When you get started you will get to do this too!
MY BACKGROUND: I worked in corporate environments (retail banking) as well as being self employed (owning my own commercial real estate business). I sold my business in New Zealand to begin a real estate role in London promoting and selling New Zealand property from an office in Mayfair. I loved it; the endless adventures, sights, sounds and experiences. In the words of Samuel Johnson "when man grows tired of London man grows tired of life". My time there coincided with the start of the 2008 Global Financial Crisis. After a couple of challenging years I returned home to Dunedin to an unsettled time from a work and personal point of view. I was no longer fulfilled by the careers I had experience in and I was finding my age a barrier to new roles I applied for. Most of the time I didn't even get an interview.
So I began looking for a profitable business to purchase. I invested in a very successful juice bar in a high foot traffic location. The attraction was purchasing something tangible. Long story short despite my best efforts I ended up with a mountain of debt and stress and lost my equity and marriage. In my early sixties I found myself broke, emotionally drained, single and living alone in rented accommodation. Luckily I kept my optimism and the belief that out there was a vehicle that would enable me to turn all of this around.
I came across an ad suggesting I could earn a good income from my own location. This was everything I could wish for: flexible, portable, fun & meaningful direct sales online business model with a unique compensation plan. Only one ~80% commission is paid per sale of product directly to the business owner while 20% goes to corporate for overheads. This is uniquely generous! Being a non-traditional business model it did take me some time to consider, to gain trust and confidence that this was for real. I am delighted to say since signing on all of the key points such as support, training, systems and the fantastic positive vibe I get from being part of this community every day this opportunity has exceeded my expectations. I knew deep down this journey was for me and nothing was going to hold me back from it.
I have since attracted into my life a soul-mate who shares my love of personal growth and this business. As things often go when you change your mindset she brings skills complementary to mine making us a great team. Our life is full of many joys. We live close to Saint Clair beach Dunedin New Zealand where we love to walk our french bulldog Toby in the morning. No rushing off to the office first thing for me anymore. I have three beautiful grand daughters and my partner's son lives overseas so it is important to us to have ample time for family, friends and ourselves and this business allows us to control our time to suit our best life.
