We know how hard it is knowing your dog is home alone throughout the day, which is why we run our very enjoyable and affordable dog walking business.
We have a massive passion for dogs, which is why we accommodate for all ages and sizes. We also know how important it is for dogs to be social, which is why we do both group walks and individual walks.
Happy Hairy Hounds knows the best walking spots in the area. We go on walks along beaches, parks, reserves and also through forest areas.
We know that elderly and puppys aren't capable of going on long walks, which is why we also offer home visits and small neighborhood walks as well.

About us.
I'm Caroline McKenzie and I emigrated to New Zealand 11 years ago, from England with my family. We own two dogs; Fifi a Labrador and Wendy a Labradoodle, as well as four rabbits. I've always had a passion for animals all shapes and sizes and there has never been a time in my life when I've been without a dog. My background working with animals is four years at Guide Dogs New Zealand working in the kennels and breeding centre. Boarding and training guide dogs including puppies. I live by the ideology that animals are a gift of unending and unconditional love and deserve to be treated with the utmost respect and love that we as humans can give to them. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members!

I'm Liz Domet and I have been doing pet photography for over ten years, I am a Happy Hairy Hounds dog walker as well as a keen photographer of New Zealand’s wonderful wildlife. I have bought up many guide dogs for the Blind Foundation as part of their volunteer program and really enjoy living with dogs of all sorts. Currently our family has Ursi, the first guide dog we brought up who unfortunately didn’t get into the program but is a wonderfully gentle dog. She helped bring up all the other dogs who passed through our household. I love walking and photographing our Happy Hairy Hounds dogs and feel lucky to combine both my passions.

Hi I'm kelly law and my beautiful furbaby is 7 year old Roxy. We moved to beachlands 4 years ago and just love been out and about meeting furry and human friends every day and checking out the many beautiful walks & beaches here and in the surrounding areas. We love making new friends and joining Caroline and her friends on fun filled and chatty outings.

After our meet and greet we recommend your dog is walked alone to familiarize themselves with both us and the surroundings in which we walk. We often find that walks in groups provide better stimulation and socialization for your dog. After our initial walk we will endeavour to walk as part of a group, however if you require individual walks, these can be arranged.
