At 1pm on Sunday 29th March Connings Foodmarket in Appleby was deemed a non essential service in the Covid-19 lockdown and forced to close.

Connings provides essential fresh food and produce at competitive prices to the locals. A reason has not yet been given as to why they have been closed. 

Connings have done everything right to ensure the safety of their staff and customers during this trying time. They were providing a pick up service for the vulnerable and promoting social distancing. 

Show your support by signing the petition to have Connings reopened to the public during the lockdown. 

Dairies selling over priced over processed and unhealthy food that sit opposite supermarkets are still open. Similar businesses to Connings are also still open. It makes no sense to the healthy bf safety of Nelsonians.
