This petition is for anyone who wants to actively take part in their health and well-being alongside their doctors and hospital clinics

It’s aimed at having our medical records in encrypted apps on our iPhones or android devices,
Especially for people like our older generations that struggle to use the internet or don’t have access to there own computers and internet other than on a mobile phone.

I’d like to see the introduction of Apple health clinical records within the Apple heath app
And the equivalent for our Android passed patients here in New Zealand like they do in other countries

The ability to open the Apple health app and any Android equivalent (Samsung health) to view our medical records eg vaccinations, medications, doctor visits and test results from one app.

This shouldn’t only require going online to see them.

Apple have made a one stop place to view these but now it’s up to the powers that be to get it rolled out here in New Zealand and Australia just Like in the USA and The United Kingdom

This app has been around for quite some time and to see it finally set up will help many people especially people with issues navigating the internet, For example the elderly wanting to manage there health.

My grandmother is an example who could really benefit from this, she not too savey with the internet but having the clinic update it through Apple health app would make it easier for her to view and manage her health records and make informed choices.

I also think it would help with setting up with health, life and travel insurance for when you have questions asked and can’t remember the answers, You can look into the app and get their questions answered according to your medical notes.

There are patient portals but navigating the internet can be difficult for some. I have since signed up with the connectmed portal and I have found I cannot view all these things and the medication side is not complete.and it’s a bit clumsy and now trying to get an elderly or someone who doesn’t know how to use the internet to look at this could be very difficult.

If online portals can be set up so can the ability to import them into Apple health and the equivalent for Android passed patients.

This is something the Ministry of health and the DHB need to sort out.

Some people myself included would like to be able to pull my files up on my handset and be able to see when I’m next due for a vaccination, eg for travelling eg malaria, Order a repeat prescription. This would also be good for adding in your own notes to the doctor too like any symptoms that could be potentially missed when visiting the doctor.

Come on Guys and Gals even if this isn’t something you would personally use think about ya nana ya grandfather and anyone else that you think would use this

Don’t just think Nah wouldn’t use it and ignore it sign and share
Besides they are your medical records you should be able to access them easily
