Help us to continue support for 1,300 young people in 2021 and beyond

Nationwide

It’s time to rally behind and stand up for one of our most incredible communities, Papakura (South Auckland). Papakura is a key part of the Graeme Dingle Foundation’s work with youth, its programmes successfully supporting many low decile schools in one of Auckland’s fastest growing areas.

For four years, the Graeme Dingle Foundation has delivered the Kiwi Can & Stars programmes to Tamariki and Rangatahi in Papakura, developing their mental fitness, empowering them to overcome obstacles, and ensuring they start life on the right trajectory.

You can help one child through a programme for just $270 a year.

The work we do is VITAL, profoundly impacting not just our young people, but flowing through to improve the wellbeing of families, businesses and the entire community.

Charlotte Castle the Principal of Red Hill School in Papakura says Kiwi Can has provided another set of positive role models to work alongside the school staff to assist and support students to make positive learning and life choices.

“Our Students have engaged in all aspects of the programme and see our mentors as members of our extended whanau. As a school we want our students to be connected, well-rounded, resilient and active members of our community. The concepts shared within the Kiwi Can programme encompass these and this ensures that there is continuity in the messages we are sending and sharing with our students."

Since 2016, a major retailer has funded and supported all of our work in Papakura. They have been an incredible partner and have had a massive impact in the community, but with the pinch on retailers felt even prior to COVID, they have confirmed that they will no longer be able to support our work after 2020. This means our essential work and programmes are under threat from 2021.

The Graeme Dingle Foundation is working with the Papakura community, local businesses and organisations to ensure we can continue supporting our young people, but we urgently need your support.

Please Aotearoa, stand up for Papakura and make a contribution to ensure our young people are supported in 2021 and beyond.

By backing us, you’re backing them.
