Vin Alto Clevedon Rosé
An off-dry style, predominantly from Merlot, this rosé has sweet strawberry and cream aromas and a vibrant, juicy summer fruit palate. Enjoy lightly chilled on its own or with Asian and Mediterranean dishes.
West Brook Riesling

d'Arenberg Adelaide Hills The Lucky Lizard Chardonnay
Citrus, green apple and sea spray notes are offered up courtesy of the cool climate Adelaide Hills and its accompanying geologies. Roasted nuts and a hint of brioche are a subtle nod to the very selective and restrained use of premium quality French oak barrels. This host of flavours is backed by a chiselled, dart like acidity that initially maintains a tight grip on the palate, gently ceding with air and warmth to allow the wines natural richness to emerge. Restrained yet layered with flavour and texture. Classic Chardonnay.

REDS:
Contrade Primitivo
Dark ruby red with violet reflections with aromas of wild berries, cocoa and nutmeg with slightly vanilla finish from spending 3 months in oak.
Vega del Rayo Tempranillo Rioja
A modern, vibrant, unoaked Tempranillo. Oozing with red fruits, fresh cherries and plums with hints of spicy complexity. Soft and easy to drink with approachable ripe fruit yet well-structured. A great entry level Rioja.
Odyssey Marlborough Pinot Noir 2015 (Certified organic)
It’s elegant yet weighty with lovely fruit ripeness which manifests in intense flavour and a sweet impression. The finish is long and well structured this wine is ageing wonderfully. 4****

Since the cost of oil has increased from the 2016 rate of $30.29 USD to 2018 $74.00 USD and the introduction of the Auckland Regional Fuel Charge, we are now forced to pay a monthly Variable Fuel Rate (VFR). We will notify you in advance of the upcoming months VFR charges (calculated on the current price of fuel), and will also be posted here on our website.

The month of August variable fuel rate (VFR) is 1.7%, this is on all domestic parcels.

INCREASE Market Place Price

Unfortunately our suppliers have increased their prices by 3.5% due to increased staffing and infrastructure costs. However, we have negotiated a lower increase, and as of September 1 we are passing on a 2.5% price increase across the board.

I gurantee this oncrease will be passed on by all suppliers and prices will be on the way up. and we were told by the politicians taht the increases would be that great. WATCH this Space Phil Goff

The Johnston family still produce estate grown wines and operate one of Australia's oldest wineries, Pirramimma. The word Pirramimma is aboriginal meaning 'the moon and stars'.

In April we visited the Pirramimma Vineyards in McLaren Vale. We tasted amazing wines, aged ports from barrels and experienced a VIP tour of the vineyard with Mark Conroy. Mark oversees the blending of all the Pirramimma wines as well as traveling the world promoting and marketing. Mark has been involved in the Australian wine industry for 36 yrs, the last 10 of these with Pirramimma.

I convinced Mark to come to NZ to present his wines to our wine club (some of which have been sent over just for us). He will be here for 3 days and only has two events organised, we will be hosting them both. Pirrammima have an extensive range of wines, hence the need for the two events. (Both will be very different)

Event 1: Tuesday August 7, Fairway Conference Centre 6.45pm for a 7.00pm start. Cost $60.00pp Wine tasting, buffet Meal and glass of wine with meal

Event 2: Wednesday August 8, Wine Chambers Restaurant 33 Shortland St 6.45pm for 7.00pm start. Cost $135 includes canapes, 4 courses and wine matches (this event is also being promoted through American Express Restaurant Month)
