Established in 2001, Oronegro Jewellery aims to craft taonga using the traditional protocols of Maori Whakairo. All of the pieces sold have been handcrafted in the Oronegro Jewellery Studio on Karangahape Road, Auckland. The team is lead by jeweller and artist V. Ernesto Ovalle who has over 25 years in the jewellery trade and has been carving New Zealand Pounamu for 20 years.
