Haus of Christmas is a specialist retailer of handcrafted German Christmas decorations. We are the exclusive retailer in New Zealand for a number of established German Christmas brands, such as Müller and Richard Glässer for traditional wooden decorations, or Krebs Glas Lauscha and Inge Glas for handmade Glass decorations.
Germany is synonymous with Christmas decorations, it is famous for the Christmas Markets all over the country, and for giving the world many of the decorations we know today. Lauscha is a small village that has been producing blown glass since the 1597, and it was the birth place of the Glass Christmas decoration in the 1840's. Lauscha is where we go to source our Glass ornaments. Much like our with glass decorations we head to the region where the traditional wooden products we stock - Candle Pyramids, Candle Arches, Smokers and Nutcrackers - originated. Our stockists in Seiffen still produce these amazingly detailed and complex decorations in small workshops.
